But I intruded to ask information about some that are more likely to suffer than others. I have a young man that is nearly idiotic & subject to fits, could I have him bound to me? I have several young servants that are orphans & I would take care of them if bound to me for a given period to compensate me for raising them by their services when grown larger two boys & a girl. They would be provided for comfortably & saved a life of neglect & suffering. Please drop me a line on these subjects & as we have no mails, place you letter in the Richmond P.O. addressed to S.P. Ryland care of Dr Steele, Box 204, & he will contrive it to me by some one going to town. I am sure you will not refuse to give these suggestions some attention & by that means help those who are likely to suffer both white & coloured Most respectfully
Yours &c
S.P. Ryland
