When I had the honor to see you early in September, presenting an order from the bureau in Washington for the restoration of my land in York County, in this vicinity, I informed you that I was told in Genl Howard's bureau, that I should be entitled to a portion of the rents of the land for the present year, viz. from the date of the President's pardon which was 26. July, to the end of the year; and that an order to that effect would be issued from that bureau, covering all such cases.  Will you be
