State of Va. is hereby directed not to take possession of the property of Lewis Washington, situated in Jefferson Co. Va for the use of this Bureau.

General Orders 
No. 14

In conformity to orders from the War Dept., Superintendents of Districts will not hereafter furnish transportation to Refugees or Freedmen.

In cases where transportation is desirable, and where the persons requiring it are not able to provide it for themselves, applications will be forwarded to this office, giving the names of the persons to be transported and the reasons why such transportation should be furnished.

I. 1st Lt. F.D. Friday, comdg. Co. "B" 24th U.S.C.S. will detail the following

named men to report at once for daily duty to the Surgeon in charge of Howard Grove Freedmens Hospital

Private Levi Bolden
Private Charles B. Bryant
Private Henry Jackson
Private John Phelps

II So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of John Manning, Jr. of Chatham Co. North Carolina, consisting of one house and lot, situated in Norfolk, Va, is restored to him, with all the rights and privileges of ownership, on the following conditions, vig:—

1st The property will be turned over to Mr. Manning upon the expiration of the lease to any third party, or parties, if any exists.

2nd That nothing in this order be construed as entitling him to compensation for damages to the property, or to rents which may have accrued.

III So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of William G. Burchett, consisting of various parcels of land at and near City Point, Va. is restored to him, with all the rights and privileges of ownership subject to the requirements of Circular No. 3, War Dept. Bureau R.F. & A.L. Washington, D.C., May 22nd 1865, and upon the following conditions, viz:—

1st The property will be turned over to Mr. Burchett upon the expiration of the lease to any third
