Leave of absence to go out of the Department is hereby granted to the following named Officer for Twenty (20) days. to take effect from January 25th 1867. Bv't: Maj: Geo. P. Sherwood. Captain. V.R.C. Leave of absence to go out of the Department, is hereby granted to the following named officer for fifteen (15) days. to take effect from January 25th 1867- First Lieut Geo. [[?]]. Cook V.R.C. Dept. of the Potomac. will proceed to Petersburg, Va. for the purpose of examining affairs connected with this Bureau. The same having been completed he will return to these Head Quarters without delay. By Command of Bv't. Maj. Genl. J.M. Schofield Ass't. Comr O Brown A A A Genl. 13 Head Quarters. Department of the Potomac. Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and A Lands Richmond Va. January 21st 1867. Special Orders No. 10. I. So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of Samuel Gover consisting of a house and lot situated in the town of Leesburg Loudon County. Va. is restored to him with all the rights and privileges of ownership, subject to the requirements of Par 8. Cir 15. Series 1865 war Dept. Bureau, R.F. and A.L. and upon the following conditions viz. 1st The property will be restored to Samuel Gover upon the expiration of the lease to any third party or parties if any exists. 2nd That nothing in this order be construed as entitling him to compensation for damages to the property or to rents which may have accrued- II. So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of Mrs Mary Smith. consisting of a Tract of land, containing 150. acres, more or less, situated in the County of Loudoun. Va. is restored to her with all the rights and privileges of ownership, subject to requirements of Par. 8. Cir 15, Series 1865. War Dept. Bureau R.F and A.L. and upon the following condition viz 1st The property will be restored to Mrs Mary Smith upon the expiration of the lease to any third party or parties if any exists. 2nd That nothing in this order be construed as entitling her to compensation for damages to the property or to rents which may have accrued.
