Under investigations from the Star Department Bureau R. F. and A. Lands dated April 8th 1867 officers acting as Superintendent of this Bureau will in future be designated, and sign themselves as sub Assistant Commissioner and officers acting as sub Asst Superintendents as Assistant sub Assistant Commissioners.
Civilians acting as Superintendents and Assistant Superintendents will in future be designated and sign themselves as agents.

Under instructions from the War Department, Bureau R. F. and A. Lands, dated April 1st 1867, the taking of receipts under the provision of Par. 7 and 8 Article 5, Bureau Officers Manual, from destitute Refugees, and Freedmen for subsistance stores, issued to them, may be dispensed with. Hereafter such issues will conform to the method of issues to troops. __
