94 Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, Head Qrs Asst. Comr., State of Va., Richmond, Va., July 12th 1867. Special Order} No. 79} Maj. Genl. Howard Surg De Lamater Maj. White. Lt. Schreiner Genl. Armstrong Mr. Williams II.. Mr. E. P. Williams, Agent of this Bureau is hereby assigned to duty as Agent in charge of the 6th Division, 5th Sub-District, (consisting of the Counties of Matthews and Gloucester) with this Head Quarters of Matthews C.H., Va., relieving Mr. Frank K. Smith, from whom he will receive all books and papers relating to Bureau Affairs in the above named Counties.- Mr. Williams will report in person to Genl. S.C. Armstrong, Agent in charge of the 5th Sub. Dist., at Fort Monroe, Va., for instructions- By order of Bvt. Brig Genl. O. Brown, Asst. Comr. Garrick Mallery A.A.A. Genl. 95 Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands, Hd Quarters, Asst. Comr., Ste of Virginia Richmond, Va., July 16th 1867. Special Order} No. 80} Maj. Genl. Howard Maj. White. Genl. Armstrong Col. Whytal I.. Par. I., S.O. 73. C.S, from these Head Quarters is amended to as to read, "all property, excepting that belonging to the Quartermasters Departments".- II.. Bvt. Lieut. Col. T. G. Whytal, A.Q.M. Captain U.S. Vols., will transfer all Q.M. property held by him as an officer of this Bureau, to Bvt. Maj. Geo. O. White, A.Q.M, Captain U.S. Vols, Chief Q.M. & D.O., at Richmond, Va., who will receipt to him for the same.- Maj. Genl. Howard Genl. Armstrong Mrs. J. W. Swift III.. So far as any jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, the property of John Winder, deceased, consisting of a tract of land, situated in Elizabeth City County, Va., is restored to Julia W. Swift, Executrix, together with all the rents, now due, with all the rights and privileges of ownership, pertaining to the said John Winder, deceased, subject to the requirements of Part. 8, Cir. 15, Series 1865, War Dept., Bureau R.F. and A.L., and upon the following conditions, viz:- 1st That the leases of the property now in force shall be recognized and carried out by the said Julia W. Swift, Executrix.- 2nd That nothing in this order be construed as entitling the heirs to compensation for damages to the property, while in possession of this Bureau.- By order of Bvt. Brig. Genl. O.
