Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands
Office Surgeon in Chief, Department of the Potomac.
Richmond, Va., Dec 5th 1866.

Special Orders.

A.A. Surgeon J. E. Warner. USA. in charge of Freedmen at Petersburg Va. will leave his charge under the supervision of Actg. Hospital Steward Thos. E. Stratton, and proceed at once to Gordonsville Va. and report to Bvt. Maj. Morse Supt. of Bureau R.F. and A. Lands for temporary duty at that place. Assisting, A.A. Surg. C. G. Greene USA. in charge of Freedmen, who is now disabled.

These orders not relieving A.A. Surgeon 
Warner from his present charge. As soon as A.A. Surgeon Greene shall be able to resume his duties A.A. Surg Warner will return to his station. 

He will report to me on his arrival at Gordonsville and on his return to Petersburg Va.
