mencement of their services with the Bureau; In addition to the copies of papers required by the Bureau Circulars, and Circulars of the Surgeon General USarmy, an additional copy will be sent to my Office for record.

Monthly statements of the Hospital fund of the various Bureau Hospitals should be made out promptly at the commencement of the month, for abstract of the Commissary issuing to the Hospital. Duplicates of the statement should be made, one copy to be sent as the Army Regulations require, and a second copy to my Office.

Medical Officers in charge of Bureau Hospitals will forward to this Office immediately a Report of all Attendants who have been on service in the Hospital of the Bureau, with which they are connected, from the foundation of the Bureau Hospitals or from the date of its transferance to the Bureau. These Reports will give the name, date of contract, compensation of each attendant reported. The date of all contracts annulled, and the reasons will be given.

Economy on the part of the Bureau being necessary care must be taken, that no more fires are kept burning in the Hospital than are absolutely necessary
