4.  The Assistant Commissioner, Bureau of Refugees, Freedmen and Abandoned Lands for the State of Virginia, will select an officer from the troops serving in Virginia to relieve Brevet Major G. Mallery, 43d U. S. Infantry, (Veteran Reserve Corps,) of his present duties.
Major Mallery, upon being relieved, will proceed, without delay, to join his regiment at Fort Wayne, Michigan.
