FREEDOMWAYS THIRD QUARTER 1966

TOM ASHBURN

A PRIORI
In some bright century beyond this chaos
When science has banished dogma's madness;
When children are told no fairy tales
And spring up, sentient, snae, dynamic:

In that time of great-born people
Free of prejudice, fear and fools-of politicians,
Priests, generals and a million infant rules;
Their ears will hear-their eyes will see.

Although we can only dream-
The dream is not unreal:
We say our small part and leave a token,
Shining for the millions who will live.
