For the past several years, he has been working in Guyana as an artist and text-book illustrator. Sadanand Rege is a poet and essayist in New Delhi, India. Constance E. Berkley, poet and educator, is currently teaching at Vassar College and working on her doctorate at New York University. Odie Hawkins, involved in the Watts' Writers Workshop, has completed two screenplays and has published short stories and poetry. Vernon (Kitabu) Turner is a New York poet and journalist. Brenda L. Jones, a recent college graduate from Missouri, is Education Director and an organizer in the New York Young Workers Liberation League. Patricia Gow is vice-president of the Oregon State Poetry Association. Loyle Hairston, a Contributing Editor of FREEDOMWAYS, is an essayist and novelist. Madeline W.
