Freedmen's Schools.
The want of a large and well organized school is felt greatly, at present there are three small schools, in these counties, taught by the more intelligent, of the Freedmen, but their accommodations are quite inadequate for the large number of scholars who desire to attend. 

Destitute and Infirm Freedmen.
The number of the former, have increased greatly during the past month, they are composed chiefly, of those Freedmen, who have been working small tracts of land, for themselves, and who through their ignorance engaged in Farming without sufficient stock or tools, and without enough of provisions on hand and as a consequence, they are now almost starving. I propose to issue rations to this class
