I have the honor to report that the feeling existing between the White People and Freedmen of Henry County continues about the same as heretofore.  As many of them as have been tried before the County Court, I think have been justly dealt with.  There had not been any Superior Court in session here since the order was promulgated turning affairs of the Freedmen over to the civil courts, and I cannot report as yet, whether they will stand much if any show for justice.  In Patrick County where I have just returned from a visit, I found a general idea prevailing among the Freedmen, that it was no use to work any longer, as they believed that now that their cases were in the civil hands, that they would not obtain justice.  I did all I could to dispel that idea, and
