   I have the honor to report everything in my  County with  regards the Freedmen entirely unchanged since my last report.
   The Crops have somewhat fallen short, on account of the want of rain there is enough however to fully supply all wants.
   There are still no schools in operation in this County, something very much needed.
   The Freedmen over the County having mostly all been notified to vacate the premises on which they are now living by the 31st of Dec 1866, more to get rid of the Negroes than because the land is wanted on which they live.  I have endeavored to get a number to colonize where the Govt is offering them land under the Homestead Act, and I am sorry to say that in no instance have I been successful.  They all prefer to remain they say
