W. W. Silvester
Deep Creek Va
Aug 19th 1865
Refer 2. B. 382,

Petitions for the release of his Lands from the Freedmens Bureau.
Endorsed
Respectfully forwarded to Capt A. S. Flagg A.Q.M. Supt R.F.&.A.L. with the report. W W Silvester seeks release for the purpose of placing his lands in the market for sale - from the extent and character of the property I judge Mr Silvester comes within the $20.000 excepted class and if his land is liable to confiscation in view of the certain large demand for fuel during the coming winter it will be desirable to secure a supply from the large amount standing on the Silvester tract. as it can be easily water borne to Norfolk.
