In accordance with the provisions of Cir. 6, Bureau R.F.& A. Lands Hd. Qrs. Asst. Com'r State of Va. Richmond, Jan 29th 1865, I have the honor to make the following report.

There is a greater feeling of security among both the White and Colored people of this Sub- Dist of late; owing to the fact being demonstrated, that the Freedmen will work and I believe the Whites are willing to treat them fairly and kindly. The colored people have expressed themselves satisfied.
