suggested that a good responsible party be appointed by the Bureau to look after this estate as he had fears that as soon as it came into the hands of the Freedmen it would be squandered by them. The school in Warrenton is in fine condition and the scholars are learning finely. Mr Morse the teacher has more than he can do and another teacher is needed to assist him There are several small schools starting up in different parts of my Dist. but the Freedmen are not able to pay their tuition so these schools are small I wish there could be a teacher sent to Upperville in Fauquier County as there is a fine chance to have a large school Also a school is needed very much at Manassas Junction in Pr Wm Co
