Reports in compliance with Circular No 6, series 1866 for Oct/67 States the freedmen continue peaceable industrious and obedient conduct faithfully discharging their obligations and contracts since the election the whites evince a malicious hatred toward them and are disposed to discharge them from their employ without regard to the existing contract. The freedmen cast their votes in accordance with the dictates of their own consciences regardless of the threats of their employers The whites have not since the close of the war shown their disloyalty so much as they now do.

Three schools are in session and in a flourishing condition.
