anxiety to encourage immigration of laborers to this section of the Country.

The Colored people are in grant want of Schools and teachers to educate there children; if a few teachers could be sent here they could get along until they were better prepared to build School houses; there are now but two Schools in this Division and it is very important that others should be started but cannot on account of their having no teachers.

Nothing has been done to strengthen the Temperance Societies in this Division and probably will not be until after the Election.
