I have the honor to report that the property pertaining to the Howard Asylum and Hospital at Lauderdale, Miss, for which John D. Moore was responsible has this day been turned over to me in compliance with Special Orders No. 65 from office Asst Com'r Bureau R.F and A.L. Vicksburg, Miss, dated Vicksburg Miss, April 11th 1868, and that I have assumed charge of the Asylum in accordance with instructions contained in said order. 
Please find oath (duly signed and sworn to) Enclosed.
