Lauderdale County 
Personally appeared before the undersigned Justice of the peace in and for said county James Smith (freed) who being duly sworn deposes and says that on the night of the 26 of this Inst Sergent Joseph Miller of Co. D 25th U.S. Infantry and Privet James Carr of same company & Regt did enter his house and took from him one shot gun Eighteen dollars & seventy five cents in money & three Razors without his knowledge or consent he therefore prays that the above named Segt. Joseph Miller & Privet James Carr be arested and Brought to justice for the above offense.
