There is no difficulty existing between the races at this time but there is a large amount of talk & some threats against the freedmen if they still adhere to the Republican party & the Whites say if the freedmen vote for the new Constitution they will be driven from their work and be deprived of their homes & support in this community.

The schools are very poorly tended during this month all that could work have been taken out & put to work to earn their living or to raise a crop there will be no school in this Division their
