Sir
In Compliance with Cir No. 6. Series, 66 Head Qurs Asst. Comr. State of Va, I have the honor to report that the past month having been in of unusual quietness in this Division the Condition of Bureau affairs presents no new feature, No Complaints of Contracts violations, No threats of expulsion from land which the freedman may be engaged in tilling because of his unchangeable resolve to vote as he may deem for his best interest Nothing in fact has occured to disturb the Freeman in the pursuit of his vocation or a disposition manifested to interfere with him in any manner whatever. and it is to be hoped that this apparent harming may continue to exist

Very Respectfully
Your Obdt Servt
Thomas P. Rice
