prospect for the coming year

The freedman at Luray Page Co are building a School house and will have it completed by the last of November they have Secured a teacher who is building up a good School in that place

The School at Berryville Clark Co has reopened with the Same teacher and bids fair to be one of the best Schools in this Division, the freedmen are building a Church & they intend to  use it for school purposes when finished

We have secured a teacher from Boston Mass for the Front Royal School wich will make a School in each County seat in this Division wich is as many as can be supported for the present by the freedman alone. And no Support is givin by the inhabitants of this Division
