Genl I have the honor to Report there has been
no change in the affairs of the Bureau since my last Report. There has been some disturbance at Bridge Water where the Freedman have a day school and a night school on Christmas eve some Rowdies made an attack upon the school House broke in the windows and broke the stove to pieces at New Market there was a disturbance in a prayer meeting occasioned by the bad behavior of two (Cold) men, there has been several other minor offences all of which has been the Result of drinking too much intoxicating drink The freeman are generally at work both behaving as well and doing as well as the white population according to their means I cannot Refrain from expressing the opinion that when the protection afforded the Freedman by the agents of the Bureau are withdrawn  Rodyism will show itself by making attacks upon the then helpless freemen, There are good men in every community which wish them protected but
