L.R.W. 241 Rec'd Back Feb, 24th 66
Office Supt 4th Dist Va
Gordonsville, Feb, 24th 66
Respty returned to Col. O. Brown Asst Comm.
In addition to the report of Lieut. Murphy
I would state that the commission for trial of
Allen was dissolved in consequence of the officers
composing said commission being ordered to be
mustered out of service. There is conclusive
evidence that a man (cold) was shot in the finger.
This evidence strongly indicates that Allen was
the man who committed the act. I would request
that measures be taken to bring said Allen
to trial.
