on "Catoctin Creek" but not described sufficiently accurate for me to determine whether it is the same as described in your report and Circular No 1 Richmond Republic.  You will please observe that there were but 8 acres mentioned in your report and 13 acres in which taxes are paid by Cooper.

The premises occupied by M'r C. are in a ruinous condition, and but little or nothing is raised thereon.

Dawson Cha's & N. There appears to be two separate pieces of land described to these parties in your report.  Neither Charles nor Nicholas Dawson own any real estate property, whatever, in this Co.  The property described, belongs to Mrs. S.A. Dawson, widow of the late Sam'l Dawson, who died in the year 1864.  And mother of Cha's & Nicholas.  There are 298 acres of land in this farm, which Mrs D and her live sons above mentioned occupy.  These sons probably have an interest in this
