William R. Stubbs to be the Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have to this my last Will and testament contained on one sheet of paper subscribed my name and set my seal this twenty third day of February in the year of Lord one thousand Eight hundred and fifty four.

At a Quarterly Term of the Court of the corporation of the City of Norfolk continued and held the 4th day of March 1854. 

The last Will and Testament of John R. Knewstep deceased was proved by the oaths of Elbridge Gunney and Sarah Simcoe two of the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. And on the motion of William R. Stubbs the Executor therein named who made oath and with Mary Knewstep his security who justified upon oath as to her sufficiency entered into and acknowledged a bond in the penalty of Five thousand dollars conditioned according to law. Certificate is granted the said William. R. Stubbs for obtaining probate of the said Will in due form.
