Colonel:
George W. Grice, of Portsmouth, Va. having received the special pardon of the President of the United States, you are hereby directed to restore, so far as the jurisdiction of this Bureau extends over it, that property formerly owned by him which is now held by this Bureau as abandoned. 

The property held as confiscable will also be restored, upon his producing a certificate from the US District Court that proceedings against it have been discontinued.
