Sir:
The undersigned respectfully represents that he is the owner of a house and lot situated in the City of Portsmouth on the North West Corner of Crawford and London Streets, which he has occupied as a tenant since the 24th June last; it having been transferred to the Freedmen's Bureau. That she received on the 12 September, a pardon from from His Excellency Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, bearing date the 17th July last. He therefore respectfully asks that the full possession of said house and lot may be restored to him.
