resided in the City of Norfolk. He removed from Norfolk before the occupation of Norfolk in May 1862, by the U. S. Forces; and entered the [[strikethrough]] Confederate [[/strikethrough]] service of the (so called) Confederate States as Asst. quarter master. He has since the end of the war, applied [[strikethrough]] for and received [[/strikethrough]] to the President of the U.S. for pardon and amnesty - and [[strikethrough]] has [[/strikethrough]] the pardon has been granted: as appears by the certificate of M. F. Pleasant, Pardon Clerk, a copy of which is herewith filed. It may be proper to add that the said Harrison Robertson is now, and has been for several years past, a resident of Danville, Pittsylvania Co. Va. and his sister - the above named Mary F. Maxwell is now living with him, [[strikethrough]] and [[/strikethrough]] The other sisters Helen V Robertson and Elizabeth C. Waller continue to reside in James City Co. Va.

These being the facts, the undersigned for themselves and their sisters above named as joint owners, respectfully pray that the property above described may be restored to their possession.
