State of Virginia -
City of Norfolk, to wit

I, Westwood A Todd a notary public in and for the City of Norfolk State of Virginia do here by certify that Virginia Salusbury - widow and administratrix of John S Salusbury Dec'd - personally appeared before me and made oath - that she is the widow of John S Salusbury dec'd and administratrix of his estate - that she is the mother of M Augustus Salusbury - that he was nineteen years old on the 16th of August 1865 he having born on the 16th day of August, AD. 1846. - That he entered the Southern Army in the year 1862 with out her consent - that he was at that time only fifteen (15) years old. That during the month of December 1864 she was informed by Mr Stanford, the tenant of House No 10 - Fen Church Street, that, he the said Stanford, had been notified to pay the rents to her no longer - and that since that time she has received no rents from the said Stanford - that the said house No 10 - Fen Church Street was rented to Mr Stanford for the year 1865 at one hundred and fifty dollars pr annum., That the last rent she receivd was for the month of November 1864., and that the rent for the year 1864 - was one hundred dollars per annum.
