against with some season, I apprehend from enquiries I have made. I am inclined to think that the anxiety to obtain possession of this church may be turned to account as an inducement for some landowner near Kemperville to lease a site for schoolhouse for the colored people living in the neighborhood and at the close of the year if not earlier some provision of the kind will be necessary on account of Dr. O.F. Baxter then obtaining full control of his house and lands on which the school for freedmen has been located.
