AMNESTY OATH,
Office of Asst. Provost Marshal,
Danville Va., Nov 1st 1865. 

I, R. C Wynne do solemnly swear, (or affirm,) in the presence of ALMIGHTY GOD, that I will hence-forth faithfully support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States and the Union of the States thereunder, and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all laws and proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves. SO HELP ME GOD.

I DO HEREBY CERTIFY, that on the 1st day of Nov. 1865, at Danville Va the Oath prescribed by the President of the United States, in his proclamation of May 29th 1865, was duly taken, subscribed and made matter of record by R.C. Wynne, of James City Co. Va.
