Your petitioner Wm. B. Wynne most respectfully represents that he has taken the oath prescribed by President Johnson's proclamation of the 29th May 1865, (see copy herewith filed marked A) and is a true and loyal citizen of the United States, and submits the following petition.

That he is the legal owner in fee of two tracts of land situate in James City County, Virginia,- one called "Locus Grove" containing 226 acres, and bounded as follows, north by Martin Hundred road, south by Geo: Blow's land, East by said Blow's land, and west by L. Ellison's land. The other contains about 360 acres, and bounded on the north by R.C. Wynne's land, south by the lands of N. Taylor & said R.C. Wynne, East by the land of L. Ellison, and west by said Martin Hundred road, as will fully appear by the certificate of the clerk of the said county herewith filed, marked B. Your petitioner further represents that, he resided upon the first mentioned farm with his family, before the war, until the spring of
