Randall Jenkins (cold) made complaint to me that Mrs Eliza Manu (white) would not pay him for four months work rendered her last year. I ordered both parties to appear at my office and properly tried and investigated the case. it was not only proven that she accepted his services but that she kept him at work during the four months. ploughing &c. In consideration of which services (not working as faithful as he might) I allowed him two barrels of corn. equal to $7.00.
