Transcription Notes:
The names on the left are not necessarily the person receiving the letter. There name is in the letter concerning something. So, don't set it up like it is a letter. It should go above the letter and under the L.R. reference letter and number and vol. This is how someone will search for them on this website. Most often, the initial is the first initial of the person referenced in the letter, for instance: Boichin, Margaret - that letter is L.R.B.236. 2d.V.66. - So someone is searching for B.236. in the second volume of 1866 of Letters Received. There are other names in each letter that are underlined, so they can be found by knowing the L.R. information. So put that the top. Please don't add [[good guess?]] after words you're unsure of - it just makes more work to delete those, and errors will likely be caught upon review. ---------- Reopened for Editing 2024-04-24 10:22:22 from SI TC instructions: "If You Find a Word You Can't Quite Read Please make a note using double brackets [[ ]] like this: [[good guess?]] or simply [[?]]." I prefer [[?]], but the transcriber was following directions correctly. changed "Huerde" to "H Neide" Specifically with F.B. Instructions "If you cannot read or decipher a word, simply type [[?]] so other volunteers can continue working on it. If a page contains more than 2 [[?]] please DO NOT click the "Mark as Complete" button. ---------- Reopened for Editing 2024-05-01 14:09:14 revised "changed" to "charged" in the first sentence
