they should go with the farm. Dr Wise has no right to the Kitchen and stables until the explication of the lease, as they belong to the farm and not to the house which was used for Hospital for Freedmen. I respectfully request that Dr Wise not be allowed to interfere with Mr Evans & Lindsay until they shall have gathered their crops as the buildings (stable & Kitchen) belong to them and they require them for their use.

Respectfully returned to Supt 2d Dist Va with the information that the name of Warner does not appear on the criminal records of this office. A freedman named E. Warner charged with larceny and sent here from City Point was confined in Jail here on March 17th 1866. he was to be tried by Military Commission but owing to the fact of that body being dissolved be order Maj Genl Terry and the lack of proper evidence in the case he was released from Jail on April 16th 1866. this is evidently the same case that Lieut Reed refers to.
