Respectfully returned to Bvt Brig Genl, O. Brown A.A.A.G. &c with the information that of Lt McNulty is responsible for the horse, a voucher in favor of the party who recovered the animal, for the amount, will be paid. The voucher should be "for services rendered and expenses incurred "recovering a public horse stolen from Lieut "W.A. McNulty of Warrenton Va on the ___ day of ___ 1866." The service should be reported on form 2. Q.M. Dept and the fact set forth in the certificate.
If Lieut McNulty is not responsible for the horse, the responsible officer is the proper one to give the voucher.
