Sir i received your communication with regard to needy coloured persons in this county Sir in answer to your inqurry i must say that we are just as wiling to provide for needy coloured persons, as white, if they have a legal settlement in the county. but under the present embaret circumstances of the parish of this county we really are not able we hope that you will simpathise with us in our destitute condition and continue to magnify your great Benevalence in relieve the suffering poor of this County, the indetedness of the parish of this county is about six thousand dollars we have assest a tax for the relief of this parish but none of this revanew has bin collected we expect to provid for all alike as soon as we are able
