Intemperance to no alarming that prevails amongst the Freedmen I have seen but few cases of intoxication
During the month an unusual number of complaints have been made averaging from two to fifteen per day most of these are settled before me and add no expenses to the Freedmen.  I find that the Division of crops is the greatest source of dispute and next the collection of wages.
All complaints of violence have been brought before the Courts for their action
