Reports in compliance to Cir No 10, Par 6, C.S. from Hd Qrs Asst Commr Richmond Va.
   States there have been no criminal cases, in which Freedmen were parties, tried before the civil courts in his Sub District in month of April.
  There is one colored man confined in Jail, charged with Horse Stealing, he will probably be remanded for trial before the superior of Dist court which sits in September next.
   The prejudice of the white people against him is very great.
