Reports in compliance with Circular No 10, there has been two Freedmen tried in his Sub Dist. since his last report, for stealing sheep and hog's. They rec'd a very fair trial, and were convicted - sentenced to one day's imprisonment and to receive (39) thirty nine lashes - which were given them. The stolen property was found between their beds
