In compliance with Circular No 10 Series of 66 Hd Qrs Asstd Commissioner of Virginia, I have the honor to make the following report in reference to the trial of cases in my Division in which Freedmen were concerned_

"There were no cases of importance with the exception of Jones Colored against Jones, where Plaintiffs obtained judgement against Defendant for a portion of the Crop, made under Contract, Deft made what turned out to be a bogus sale of his property, the sheriff would not levy without being indemnified, by threatening to resort to military authority the Deft paid the greater portion of the money and gave security for the balance,
