I have the honor to make the following report of the administration of civil justice, in the counties composing this Division, during the past month. 

In the case of King Haley "Freedman" referred to, in my last report, as being held unlawfully a prisoner in confinement by the civil authorities of Pulaski County - it was ordered, at the recent term of the county court for said County, that the prisoner be discharged from further custody. Full particulars of this case were forwarded to Bvt Maj Genl. O.B. Wilcox Com'dg Sub Dist.of Lynchburg.

In the case of Joseph Pratt charged with the murder of John Cotsell "Freedman" - over
