it was Clearly proven that he entered the House without the knowledge or Consent of its proprietor and was found in the Young Girls bed by the said proprietor and two Colored men in the employ of of said proprietor, that the said Wm Waugh be punished by imprisonment not to exceed Six (6) Month - I am of the opinion that the verdict of the Jury in the Case was entirely wrong and the result of prejudice on their part.

The following named Col'd persons were Convicted of Petit Larceny and sentenced to two (2) Month imprisonment each of those cases were clearly proven and one case Geo Spiller confessed his Crime

No Cases tried this term in Rappahannock - In all other cases except the Case of the Commonwealth vs Waugh referred to above I believe that the authorities have acted impartially.

I forward herewith the evidence in the Case reference to also the Statement of the Counsel for the defense TT Hill Esq The names of the other convicted of Petit Larceny are Moore and Harris each sentenced for 2 months
