Cornelia Turner "White."
I was at the house. Bain came in and asked for his father. He got the gun and went out- He did not go farther than the gate - was inside the gate before he fired.

Witnesses for Bain.
Mrs Thompson "White."
Alfred Huggins wife stole a shoulder of meat and a possom from me- I went after it and found it concealed in the bed with Alfred. The possom and part of the shoulder were in the pot, which had been on the fire - and had just been taken off and put in bed with Alfred. When I went in and inquired for my meat, Alfred said he did not know any thing about it - but gave me permission to search for it.

Isaac Turner "White."
Alfred Huggins told me the difficulty occurred in the orchard about his getting apples. The gun used by Bain was a Shot Gun and it was loaded with an ordinary load of small shot for squirrels.

Henry Lee "Col'd" Alfred Huggins stole a shoulder of meat from Mr Wadda Currin's Kitchen last winter, and I went after him and made him give it up.

Tho's B Hall. I seen a knife in the Tobacco House, that Mr Bain said, was the knife Alfred had in his hand. Blade about 8 1/2 inches
