In compliance with Circular No. 10 - from 6 Hd Qters Asst Com's Dist of Va-I have the honor to report that there were no cases tried, before the County Court the present month, in which Freedmen were interested. Thornton Olmon, Colored, was arrested on the 17th for the alleged murder of Dr. Archer Key. On the 18th he was sent to jail after a preliminary examination, in which he employed able counsel. On the 19th the Grand Jury found a true bill & he now awaits trial at the June term of the County Court, unless he should wish to delay, where he will have the right to demand a trial before the Circuit Court which meets in November.
