men to be tried and should any injustice be done will report immediately.

The case of the murder of Jacob Cash and refusal of the Grand Jury to indict him for it is one of the greatest outrages ever perpetrated by any body of men organized for the protection of law abiding people. Their decision opens the door for the murder of any negro and especialy those that are qualified voters. I am in hopes that one murderer may be brought to trial by the Military Authorities and if it is done murder will be one of the things that were in the 1st Military District.

I am General
Very Respectfully
Your obedient servant
