Reports in compliance with Circular No. 10 Series of 1866. Hd. Qrs. A.C. that there has been several Freedmen tried by the civil authorities in his Division since his last report - two cases he will investigate and make a special report upon. the third case three colored men were arrested, charged with stealing an ox. two of them were acquited and the other - sentenced to six months in County Jail upon insufficient evidence. Petetition has been made asking for his pardon and until it is known whether he will be pardoned - will not report the case.
